A more gentle version than Wim Hoff or Tummo breathing practices. Used for creating resilience in our nervous system by moving through both activating and settling. This practice is still more stimulating than most in the portal. Go slow. Feel. Discern if it's good for your body and psyche.
Somatic Practice - Basic Exercise
The Basic Exercise purpose is to bring us back into social engagement branch of our nervous system. When we activate or engage the social engagement belonging part of our nervous system, we put the brake on overactive shutdown or stressed up systems. A good practice to bring in daily/weekly to retune our out of balance in our system. Can be done morning and night. Teach your loved ones!

Role of Vagus Nerve & Engagement Practices
Our vagus nerve, one of the longest in our bodies, governs our immune systems, endocrine systems, and nervous systems. It has a newly evolved (relatively) branch that works with social engagement. There's also an older branch that is more primitive, which works with shutdown and collapse states. There are chapters in this video. Somatic Practices start at 12:55.
Somatic Movement Medicine Class 6
My mic wasn't working in this class. Most of this class is now in Class 7. Class includes deep front, back, side body, and rotations. Movements should be getting more clear. We are resetting our sensory and motor nervous system.

Somatic Practic - Grounding & Orienting
These are stabilization techniques. These practices help our body know where it is in space and time. When our bodies experience enough physical safety (it doesn't have to be perfect) our nervous systems can reset. Our systems are meant to up-regulate and down-regulate. We are creating resiliency and resources. Other practices listed: Movement, Touch, Breath and Nervous System Capacity.
